“ I am a frequent guest at Zanzibar and have waited quite some time before putting up my review as I wanted to do so after more than 1 experience (I think most businesses deserve that). Now, where to start?! There is so much good in this spot! Let's start with food. The food here is amazing! I'm not a picky eater so I'm not hard to please from that perspective but I have worked in kitchens professionally in different settings so I am critical of food generally. The chef here knows what she's doing. The food is cook to order so when you show up, bring your patience with you. Your meal will be worth the wait! The flavor, the presentation, the serving size... Atmosphere: The restaurant is beautiful and clean! You can tell it was put together with intention. There is always great music playing and the seating is comfortable and cozy. It's the best of both worlds where you get a dine in experience where you can talk to the people you're seated with (from open to around 8pm) then starts the transition to more of a lounge feel with the volume going up for the later crowd. Service: I am a stickler for good service and I have not had a bad experience here. There are times when things can be a little slow but it's never to the point where I feel it necessary to complain. The staff from management to servers, to bartenders, etc is courteous and friendly. You will be greeted and tended to from the moment you walk in. Pricing: The food is worth the cost. Nothing more, nothing less. Things that need improvement in my opinion: Stock: sometimes there are items on the menu that aren't available but even this isn't a big deal to me because whatever is recommended will be good. ”
“ So I had a little time on Saturday and there's this spot that I've driven by a few times and I decided to stop in, and y'all I did not regret it from the entry! Zanzi Bar is my new spot. The location is well decorated with a very natural and relaxing atmosphere. The decor is just on point and every detail compliments the other. It's like an upscale garden vibe with Afrobeats mixes playing in the background. And unlike other places I've been to, it's the right volume. Meaning you can enjoy the music and your conversations as well. Now to the important part. The food and drink. I got the Ganja Green (check the menu for ingredients) and sis did not skimp with the main ingredients at all lol. It was strong but kept the flavor and trust you will be feeling right by the time you get to the bottom lol. I wasn't looking for a full meal so I got suya ( seasoned beef strips and a dry seasoning dip) as an appetizer. It was very well seasoned and cooked to perfection. They did not skimp on the seasoning whatsoever. But be warned when they say something it's spicy, it is! However it's spicy with flavor so 10/10. The service was quick and the bartender was attentive to me and everyone in the restaurant. Actually the kitchen staff and manager were also interactive and attentive. You can tell they work as a team to ensure that everyone is taken care of. A true family atmosphere. Hookah is also available at this location as well. All in all 10/10! ”
“ Lovely time last night with friends. The place was busy with hookah, good ambience and very friendly and helpful people. The Valet was so nice and was a perfect gentleman. I felt like I was in a lounge in Africa. The Zanzi drink was different with Henny, sorrel and champagne. The food was wonderful. Loved the lamb chops. Nice spice with mildly sweet sauce. Not overbearing just like a glaze. Black mushroom rice was good no mushrooms but a few beans. Cooked right because all of the grains were fully cooked. Had never had the spice of taste before. Matched well with lamb chops. Mac n cheese was wonderful. The way I make it with good cheese and eggs. Really southern. Loved it wish I could return but my time in this area has ended. A treat for me ”
